My friend that I taught with for a couple years moved to Kindergarten and she still does her Jan Brett unit with the Hedgehog....
So, once a year I borrow the neighbors critter and it goes on a field trip to school. It really is a fun thing!

funny you should post this, easton and i were just talking about this the other day and he still remembers it from when he was in pre school. he loved it!!
