This is what AJ did on the 4th of July. This years show was only an hour and a half, not two. He is really so fun to watch. The highlight-- when the boys would go out on the road to light the next firework, he would throw out a small handfuls of those pop things and they would pop all around. It was great. There are a couple more pic's coming later.

Grandpa, or Colonel, Stewart and Grandma Stewart were special guests at a military thing around the 4th of July. It was at the Grand Hotel in Salt Lake City, and I loved the picture of them. They are some awesome people.
Sorry it took me so long to get it on the blog.

I love my boys! Ben's left, Jackson right.

Jackson stands above the fan with Sam's shirt on and thinks he is so funny. But, hey, so do his parents!

This is what Sam did, or tried to do, on the 4th of July. It was the last book of "The Work and the Glory" he only had 30 pages left. No, he didn't get to finish it that day.

This is what AJ did at the Stewart's on the 4th of July. Remind me why my kids just want to be around him all the time?

This is what Emily did at the Stewart's on the 4th of July. It was fantastic!!

Sariah's and McCain's wedding. I didn't take my camera and I still have not developed my film from the 4th of July, so once again my blog's going to be out of order. But, what a fun weekend in Jerome Idaho. Sariah looked beautiful. McCain had his nice black wranglers on with the fancy cowboy vest and tie. He's so whooped. It's a good thing. The place looked great and the killer was, Sally didn't look stressed! She looked busy, but not stressed. It's always fun to hang out with Walt. Chunky monkey is just how I thought (from the pictures) and I loved watching Beebe and Tyler. Who's in charge? We had a great time at the pool. It was great to have Steven and Alexandra, and the girls there. And I always LOVE Garrett. He's sooooo boy. Walter and Ruth did great and I tried not to hover and let Walt drive and take care of them. I got to correcting him on how to do this and that, and remembered that they are his parents too. Val was there, but Scott had to work. Danny, who looked fab, was there with Bailey and Natalie. I think Scott and Val are going to have full guardianship with them. I'm not sure if they're doing that or adopting them. Leslee and Kaylee were there and Kaylee is just so cute. SO cute. Leslee has tattoos of butterflies on her back. She showed them to everyone at the wedding. Emily and AJ were very good to my kids, as always. And Emily knows where her bread is buttered because she was very good to bring her Dad back a diet coke on Sat. afternoonwhile he was slaving away at the church. The reception was great because we had the "Stewart" table going on. I learned the Del Taco rule during the luncheon. Good to know. It's always good to hang out with Walt. Then, after the mother of the bride put on a wedding luncheon, a wedding, a reception, and the clean up of the church, she conducted in RS the next morning, helped Jacob give a talk in Sac mtg, and helped Slade with his Sunday School lesson. Dang if that mormon club doesn't keep you busy. But..... to top it all off, She has the Stewart's, Righter's, Monson's, BUHLER clan, her own Buhler clan and feeds us all on the front lawn. It was great! And we all sat around and visited and got our cups full. I just think Sally is all that and a hot dog too. I would have been a hollin' Sam do this, and Sam do that Blah Blah Blah and she just wisked around and worked the crowd. Eric is good to work the crowd to. Slade was stuck at bbque. And I felt bad, because by the time he was done and ready to play his guitar we all had to get on down the road. I wished we could have stayed. But, we got home and continued the party at the farm and watched old, old, old, home movies. Yes, I can truthfully say that I've seen my Brother-in-law's bare butt. Ok, Ok, it's when he was about a year old. Saw Walt and Marcia's wedding, the Cliff's of Dover, Garbage Hill (sp?)Ann's nose that she tried to snip off? Baby Emily. Good stuff. Ok, outta time for today!

Jackson's art work. Yes, we have started something. If big brother is getting his art on the web, well then, little brother should too. This is a tracing from a castle and knights book.

Sam went fishing. But, as with hunting pheasants, he can not do it alone. He always has company.

High Priest

FYI Sam was made a High Priest last Sunday. We had a nice dinner, a nice night and I love my man. It just sounds so old.

Emily and AJ

So, last night should have been Benjamin Days (it's down to a friday night only ting) but the weather made me not want to go, so Em and AJ called and we had the party here. DJ was having a sleep over so we called out for pizza and had a nice evening. AJ started a rubberband war with the boys. War is the right word too. They are still talking about it today. Good stuff.

We went to Southern Utah for Spring Break and it was so funny because we're hiking in the miggle of Arches National Park and our neighbors are there! It was great. We got to see the Tate's on our vacation!

At Double Arch, with DJ the photographer. The pictures just don't do it justice. Not to brag, but Sam planned the whole trip and it was great. The man knows how to do a vacation!

I will get to where I can learn how to put the pictures on at full image, until then.....

This is at Dead Horse point. Beautiful. The best Visitor's Center of the whole week. What's with Laura's hair? Maybe it's good that it is so small.

Ben and Jackson would find the tiniest bit of shade they could, and then rest. They were all troopers and we all made it to Delicate Arch!

For spring break in April, the Sam-family went to Southern Utah and played. It was a good time had by all. This is us at Gobblin Valley. The weather was perfect! The kids loved it. Mom did to because she could do a little sun worship. Dad did to because of the rock formation and strata etc. etc.
I know I'm slow getting this on here, but on 5-5-06 we had a fire in our house. It was great!! We had a candle for every year. Yes, all 83 of them. That's Alexandra to the left and Jackson on the right. Grandpa Stewart behind. We did pizza and Scott, Val, Bailey, and Natalie came down. We relaxed, ate and had a wonderful evening. The best part of the night......, Ruth loved it. She was still talking about it a week later.

Twins Baptism

What a fantastic weekend. Just fantastic. The twins were baptised on saturday and the day just went so well. It was nice because we had the 10:30am slot so we could enjoy breakfast and the morning before heading to the church. We only had one other family there, the Wagstaff's, with their daughter, so it went pretty quickly. I was proud of the boys but the best part was, I fell in love with Sam all over again. He looked so handsome all dressed in white. We had our family and friends there and it was just a great day. Emily and AJ came (with the Krispie Kreme doughnuts) and I must say that Emily needs a daughter because she has already got a good diaper bag started. Her purse just needs to be a little bigger and she's there. She was very entertaining. AJ gave the closing prayer and DJ gave the talk on the Holy Ghost. We went back to the house for lunch. Plenty of food, plenty of people, plenty of fun. Scott & Val came with Bailey & Natalie. Steven & Alexandra came with Nichollette, Audra, & Garrett. My sister Marrianne came with Phillip. Grandma's and Grandpa's were all there. Allan Reynolds, Sam's best friend from High Scool was there. Lacey, my niece came and our good friends were all there. I thought dinner went great and Ruth had Jaycen Tate go back for 3rd's on her potatoe's so she had a good day also. As typical, the Long's ate and left. The Stewart's claimed a table and stayed and talked for a while. It was great. It was a relaxing day, (for me). Sam was a little nervous with confirming 2 kids on the same day. He was great, just great. I asked Ben what he thought about the baptism and he said "It was good. I got stickers and stuff. The water was nice and warm but then I was freezing after!" Jackson said, "I liked it because I felt the Holy Ghost touching me. I was proud of my Dad and glad I was baptised" We were a little worried because Ben had chosen the neighboor to baptise him, Jaycen Tate, so I talked to him and asked him to gently send Ben back to his Dad. Then he wanted Jaycen to confirm him. Cracked me up. The weather was good. The neighbor's oven saved me. And the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has two more enthusiastic members. And their mother couldn't be happier.

Conference Weekend

What a fantastic day! It's General Conference weekend and it's one of my favorite weekends of the year. My favorite being the end of daylight savings time weekend, of coarse. Anywho, so we had a very inspiring morning session (at one poimt in the afternoon session I looked over from doing dishes and every adult had their eyes closed, there is a reason I do dishes instead of sit!!)and then enjoyed a fabulous dinner with Grandpa Long and Stewart, Grandma Long and Stewart, Em and AJ, a funny little couple from the ward and, of coarse... Sam and the fam. And apparently the boys have been couped up to long because we're at the point of no return with the Madagascar "Move it" and they're running and jumping all over. I figure, hey, it can't last forever. Those little bodies will get tired eventually. I've got Em and AJ working out Sudoku puzzles. For those of you that are not hooked yet, you ought to try it. Very fun. You can find a pad of them at Walmart in the game section, well, the card section. One point you might try is to NOT figure it out before your spouse, let them be first. Really. Point of interest, my feet are healing up nicely. (I had 13 warts taken off, I know, Ewww!) We're out of it a week and I'm not walking normal, but I am walking. Love to all, Laura
