Sam is putting in a garden for us and has planted peas etc. but in order to do that he had to build a retaining wall. These little projects always look good on paper....

Just think of the fresh tomatoes and what not you'll enjoy this summer! That is how Tyler finished ours! And the wall looks great! We went for the effort at first, no-work all growing season garden--weed cloth and all, and it is paying off! But I guess that weeds are what you have kids for. When Con is older, we'll do away with the weed cloth.

Our trick was to buy a house that already had a garden. We rave to each other about how easy gardening is.
