Clean~ or~ Blog? Clean or Blog? clean or blog. Not a tough choice.
Preschool is out, but my boys are still in school for the rest of this week. So, I'm home alone. Ahhhhhhhh. No, I'm not staying home to clean. It will be... blog, read, shop, and then home. Any who,
Memorial Day. Yet again, no camera. Didn't even think to bring the #**% camera along.
Yes, input a word from the bible. We went to the Benjamin Cemetery and watched the 2 minute program and had a good visit with old friends and neighbors. Stopped at Great grma and grnpa Stewart's grave sight. Went to the Spanish Fork Cemetery, hit the Francis side. Then we went to the Springville Evergreen Cemetery to pay our respects to DJ's Dad's grave. We stayed for the 45 minute program that was very well done. Had more friends and neighbors to visit with. Walked around and talked about different people in that cemetery. The boys went to the car and Sam and I relaxed and enjoyed the spirit that was there. There is something about honoring the military that just feels right. No, I won't be voting for Obama. We came home and had a nice day with just our family. A couple card games, yard work, and great FHE night. And for us, that's saying something.

My dad insists that every child ought to hear the military play TAPS at a cemetary on Memorial Day. I really hope I remember that next year, because I think it sounds amazing.
I'm glad to hear that you had a nice time over the weekend. Enjoy your quiet time. I hope you get to relax this week!
Sounds like a nice relaxing day. And so nice that your boys are old enough to go to the car without you.
You crack me up! Sounds like a fun day other than the forgotten camera! We miss you guys.
We had no graves to visit out here. What a weird memorial day. Sounds like yours was classic and fabulous, though.
Ok so I actually took a peek at the family blog :) I will surely miss you guys over the summer. Thank you, for everything that you have done for me! It was an awesome year :)
I missed the cemetaries with the grandparents! I haven't done that since moving. But I can just imagine some of the stories and conversations! Our Memorial Day (week) was observed by a surprisingly well done, not too liberal, respectful of our military and their families DVD called Grace is Gone. I rented it because of John Cusak. But beware. It is a tear jerker. Even Tyler shed a few, and I've never seen him cry about anything other than football.
