What's new?

I have comitted to full time employment, so, we now get benefits, yeah!
I'm not going to be working with Luzon Wall at her prescool, after 8 years:(
I hit someone's car that I didn't know about. (another story)
My 13 year old is acting like a teenager.
I'm getting fatter. I switched up my RS presidency. We know have 196 sister in our ward RS. Lord, help me with VTing. I get to teach Sunday.
I have to go back and tell the regional PTA president that I can't be Pres-elect for the next two years, because I'm going full time. Sigh.
And did I mention that I'm going full time?
Sam tells me we get to go to CA in a month.

Misc. Items to round up a great Jan.

What a fabulous year for snow!
This is looking out the back door from the computer. If you look you can see about
a foot of snow on the railing and the table out there.
I know, it's a
"you had to be here" kinda thing.
But, come on, we've had a lot of snow!! Wii Wii! We fianlly got a Wii. After the 2 month search, we reached Meca.
Ha! It is fun though. The kids are fun to watch.

I'm in print! I made it to the newspaper and it wasn't in the Police report!

Great Grnpa Barnes 100th b-day party

I had to take a picture of Jim! We walk in and he's totally out, gone, snoring in the lobby.
Sam and I looked at each other wondering just how exciting this party is going to be!


We took a couple pictures of the kids with Great Grnpa Barnes, then Grnpa Barnes took the camera from us and took a couple pictures of us, so on the way out I snapped one of him and Norma. That's what Granpa's are suppose to do. Sit and look pretty and hold the sleeping babies:) It was a nice afternoon, after BYU beat U of U and we could finally get out of the car and walk in. I also wanted a picture of those gloves Ben was wearing for posterity. He loves them and he won't take them off. We cut the finger tips off and they are frayed. Whatever.

Christa McAuliffe Space Simulator/ DJ's b-day party

So, two years ago DJ goes on a field trip to a space simulator with school, and has been wanting to go back for a b-day party. Well, it is a little expensive, so we told him he had to skip a year and save up. He was all for it! We went last night and "It was awesome!" They meet and get briefed on their individual stations, and spend the next 2 hours in the simulator navigating thru space and the challenges it brings. They were to rondavue with a Klingon and his ship got blown apart so they had to figure out and decode the info left from him, on what they were going to do.

So, they each had their station and at one point or another they

would have to help the rest of the crew, or DIE!!!

It was a great birthday party for the mom because I got to sit in the lobby and play tetris:) Or go into the control room and watch the monitors.

P.S. I love my kids, even under pressure they were nice to each other.

Cub Scout Pack Night

Pack Night...... How fun is that?!?
The boys made cars from boxes and got to race around the gym and make pit stops.
The family had to be the pit crew and the awesome Farrari and Flames did great!

Christmas is over so rewind to Halloween:)

So, I finally got my way for Halloween!!! I've always wanted a "family theme" and this year I was Ceasar's very beautiful wife. And isn't Ceasar so handsome!)
Our Roman soldiers were very protective. It was a fun night. Trick-R-Treat!
